Ways to Become Involved
The Research Library is supported solely through the members of the St. Augustine Historical Society. We do not receive funds from any government entity.
You can support the Research Library in the following ways:
Donate Items
The Research Library collects all things related to St. Augustine and St. Johns county. Items may include:
- Family papers, documents, and correspondence.
- Photographic prints and images of St. Augustine and St. Johns County.
- Paraphernalia related to events in the area.
- Books.
- Maps.
- Artwork,
- And more!
Do you have something you would like to donate? Contact our Chief Librarian for more information.

Digital Donations
It's the way of the future! Do you or someone you know have digital images of any happenings around St. Augustine or St. Johns County? This may include:
- Events and celebrations.
- Construction or renovations.
- Local people.
- Etc.
Do you have any digital images of the area you would like preserved in history? Contact our Digital Collections Librarian to see if your images would fit in our digital collections.

Legacy Giving
Leave a legacy that lasts. Bequeathing a gift in your will allows you to give back to the community and help the Historical Society move forward. We have many ongoing projects including preserving collections, creating better access to our materials, digitizing our exhibits, and improving our properties. All of this is made possible by our generous donors.
Your donation will directly help us make an impact in the community to make history more accessible. If you have questions about legacy giving, or would like to share your plans, please contact our Executive Director.

Become a Member
We offer a variety of membership opportunities to choose from. There are many benefits to becoming a members of the St. Augustine Historical Society, including being a part of the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association.
